Your name: Sofia
Wedding Location: Evermore Weddings
Photographer: Road 29
Cake: The Cupcake Lounge
So Where are you from? Canadian, born and raised in Guatemala.
How did you decide on your The Handmade Bride dress? I was looking for a shop to help guide me through the process, and THB just seemed perfect for my style. They have so many options for every different taste, and I also really liked the fact that they work with Canadian designers. Then I just fell in love with the strap detailing on the Poppy and its soft cotton lace. The store’s location in the Byward Market also helped make the experience, as a whole, really fun!
Describe your style in three words: Creative, vintage, modern.
Did you customize your dress? And if so, what was your favourite aspect about the customization process? No, the dress was perfect the way it was, I just had it fitted.
What advice would you give future brides who might be preparing for their first bridal appointments? Have a clear idea of what you want, and enjoy the process! At the end of the day, the small details are not what will make this day memorable.
What was the most memorable moment of your wedding? Walking down the aisle; I just could not contain the smile on my face!
What is your #1 tip for engaged couples? Wedding planning definitely takes time and a little bit of patience, but remember that it’s also supposed to be fun! 🙂
